Bath Day

So, we've had a bit of rain here recently which has created a bit of mud, and I love a run around the garden with my brother Floyd the boxer.
Those two things put together, mud and me running around has added up to a bit of a dirty puppy...

Wheaten Scottie+Muddy Weather=Dirty Puppy
My human decided she'd had enough of the dirty puppy with the brown paws and when she got home from work today she gave me a bath.

This is the third bath I've had since I joined the family... I'm not sure what to think about it. I mean, it's nice to be able to just bend over and lap up some water when you're feeling a bit parched... But when the soap is added to the equation it all becomes a bit too much!

How exactly do I get out of here?
And just when you think it's over, they pull out the BIG, LOUD, HORRIBLE hair drier!! No number of treats and "good boys" will make that process enjoyable! I mean, wouldn't it be much easier for all involved if I could just nick outside and dry myself on the grass?!

Clean puppy, worth the fuss?

What do you pups think? Do you like bath time? Has your human devised a way of making the whole silly process better?

  1. Most Saturday mornings we go to the river and get FILTHY. We know it's bath time when we get home, so we just get it over with quickly......but we do demand treats.

    1. Does Roxy get as many baths as Daisy and Bella? Cos I've noticed that Floyd doesn’t seem to be tortured as often as I am...

  2. We get our baths at the groomers so we are tortured professionally.

    1. BOL!! Tortured professionally, I like that. My human keeps mentioning that I'll be needing a hair cut soon... So I too will endure that pain...

  4. Oh my!! You are tooooo cute!!!! Dirty you are cute and clean you are cute!!! Mr. Fox doesn't seem to mind his bath. He tolerates it and we don't use the hair dryer because his coat doesn't really need it. Scruffy is scared by the bath (I wonder if someone was mean to her?) but she tolerates it too. They both like the part where they get wrapped up in a big towel and have cuddle with me while they dry. Then they get to run free and get a bone!

  5. Shucky darn Dougall baths are not to bad, if you get treats after. And I always get wrapped in a big warm towel that I have to play with.

    1. That big warm towel sounds pretty good, much better than a hair dryer!
