There is a mighty beast that dwells in my
home.
It lives in the junk room and only emerges
from its hiding place once a week, to rearrange the furniture and wreak havoc on
my nap time...
It has a long nose and a terrifying snout.
A snout it uses to produce the most, horrifying, terrifying growl a wee pup has
ever heard.
It causes me to run away in fear, to seek
refuge, to hide in my own home.
Here it is, in the flesh. Look at its
fearsome armoured body. Its terrifying snout...
Oh no!! You better run away! It's coming for us... aaaaah!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAhh! Where should we hide?
DeleteThat is one FEARSOME BEAST! Whoo, good thing our floor sucker doesn't look like that!! I truely would hide with you. You know what ~ if all us pups get together and attack, it will never stand a chance!! CHARGE!! Hey, where are you guys?
ReplyDeleteKisses,
Ruby
I'm too busy being a scaredy puppy. But Floyd would be there with you on the front line, helping you lead the charge!
DeleteRuby is raight that is Fearsome. I am sure glad our whole house is tile.......
ReplyDeleteWe don't have one of those living with us, well unless you consider Allred.....
Maybe we could lock Allread in the room with the beast?
DeleteWe've got a couple of monsters like that. There's Horrible Hoover and his sidekick the evil Doctor Broom. They're so bad that She will have nothing to do with them and makes Him fight them.
ReplyDeleteI don't mind the broom, Floyd and I actually reckon the "sweeping" game is HEAPS of fun... I don't think the humans feel the same way though...
DeleteMr. Fox barks non stop at that thing and 'acts' like he's going to kill it. Scruffy doesn't seem to care too much but you should see the cats when it comes out, well, we don't see them they hide so well. You have a nice safe spot where you are so don't worry!
ReplyDeleteAlyssa, Mr. Fox & Scruffy
Go Mr. Fox! You're a braver dog than I!
DeleteTry peeing on it...hehe! Deccy x
ReplyDeleteBOL!!! I'll have to see if I can sneak up on it and give that a go!
DeleteWe have a monster that looks sorta like yours, Dougall. I steer clear like you do but Molly barks at him and stands her ground. Are we being wimps?
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots,
Mitch and Molly
Never!! We're just... Cautious?
DeleteOur boy, Todd, being much braver than the Goldens will take a run at our big beast and nip at it--It doesn't work, but it doesn't stop him from trying, he's so brave!! Be brave too Dougall!!
ReplyDeleteMaybe next time it emerges... Maybe when I'm a bit bigger?
DeleteOh my Dougall , it's the horrid vacuuuuummmm! We hate it too and we tries and bite the vile noisy thing. Happy Sunday to you all.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
You try and bite it! You are one brave dawgie!
DeleteVACULA..... DOUGALL THAT is VACULA. He is a Horrid monster fur SURE. We ALL hate him.
ReplyDeleteOMD, VACULA! That is a great name for the beast!
DeleteWOWZA. BEAST. RUN!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteDon't worry, I do!
DeleteOh Dougall, you have my sympathy!! She despaired of my behaviour whenever Vacula appeared (which I thought strange as I thought I was behaving NORMALLY, it was Vacula who was strange!) however, She was on to me - She would leave treats around Vacula when it was sleeping so, being a treat fiend, I would run to Vacula, steal the treat and run away again and this was sooooo much fun that even once Vacula started up, I was ok - well, not at first, but She would put a treat near me when Vacula started up and NOTHING stops me from getting my treat, so eventually, I came to like Vacula as it meant treats! Although now I'm growed up, when Vacula comes out, I only get a treat every once in a while! NOT FAIR.
ReplyDeleteWoof.
Groucho
I don't know how that would work in my house... Floyd who isn't scared of vacula would get all the treats before I had a chance!!
DeleteOh yes we forgot about Floyd - competition for treats is not good!
DeleteW
Groucho
Dougall, you are so right to stay away from that thing!
ReplyDeleteXXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy
Thanks for your support girls. Are you guys alright, haven't seen you update your blog in ages!
DeletePoor Dear? Are you alright? Peanuts used to fear the beast as well, but eventually she grew out of it. I am truly glad that my dogs have adjusted to the noise. I do hope you do so as well.
ReplyDeleteHuggies and Cheese,
Haopee
I hope I grow out of it...
DeleteNow that is SCARY!
ReplyDeleteOoooh, we have one of those but thankfully Susie-Belle is a cool dog and she turns over and continues her snoozing when it's out on the prowl xx
ReplyDeleteSnoozing! Amazing!
DeleteDougall, attack, attack, bite it, kick it. Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr go away you horrible beast and leave Dougall alone. Good luck my brave pal.
ReplyDeleteLoveys Sasha
