Ouchie...

I got an ouchie last week. Look at my poor toe...

The peeps shaved the hairs off my toe and pulled a nasty grass seed out of it.

They took me to the dogtor, who had given me some tablets to take to make it go back to normal size.

You know what the worst part is...?

Not the sore toe...

Not the shaved foot...

Not the trip to the dogtor...

I've missed out on FIVE DAYS worth of walks because of it...

This makes me a sad Dougall...

  1. Hey Dougall! First, let me say, for some reason, the peeps just found LOTS of comments from you in Our spam folder. I HATE THAT. You're not spam! So, thanks for writing and sorry We didn't see your notes.

NOW. About that ouchie. THAT HURTS! I hope it's better - all better - so you can walk around again.

  3. Ohhhhhhhhh, I can't look, thats a bad place for an ouchie, you take it easy and play it up big time for some treats, milk it for a long time. If you need training on that, write to Bites he can carry on for the longest time over nothing!!!

  6. Oh, Dougall, that sucks, dude. Wells, since you can't go for your walkies, MILK IT for all it's worth! Looks all sad and pathetic, and at least you'll get some extra biscuts out of it.

  9. OMD-we have those grass seeds here also. They're called foxtails. I had one and the (former) vet butchered the job big time and I almost died. He overmedicated me and I had liver problems and I had to have water injected under my skin (twice) to super-hydrate me so I could pee the medications out. ARRRRGH-bad memories. You take care of yourself.

  10. Awww - if it makes you feel any better - I haven't had time to walk Blueberry because of the puppy. I know - I am a horrible dog mom. But I just couldn't bring myself to crate him yet again to take her out. But we have 5 blissful days of no work so I will be able to divide my time more equally between Blueberry and Linus. Until he has all of his shots - he cannot go anywhere, hence the no walks.

Hopefully you will get back to your normal walking schedule soon so you don't get the cabin fever! Gosh - a grass seed did that kind of damage???? That's just crazy! Hope it is better soon buddy! :)

  18. Oh no...shame!!! We hope your paw is all healed...try not to lick it too much - even though it soothes us to do so.

Make sure your mom compensates for the lack of walks with extra cuddles, treats and maybe a new toy.

  27. Oh I feel for you Dougall ~ I stepped on a bee this summer and my toe doubled in size and I lost the furs on it. You got to take care of your paws.
