The peeps agreed to give him another go. On the way over in the car I had a good talk with Floyd about being a bit more gentle with Alex, and about the point of the meeting, the lesson. Floyd was pretty excited, as I said, he loves zooming!
We decided the best way to teach is to lead by example, so after a good sniff around the yard...
And a good sniff of Alex...
We set to work, teaching Alex the art (and fun) of zooming...
I think he enjoyed the lesson (so did Floyd and I). He was pretty good for a beginner, a bit slow, but he'll get better with experience (and longer legs).
Oh, and if you're wondering, that splodge of white on Alex's nose... It's a splodge of Floyd's drool... BOL!
Oh he will definitely get the hang of it! Excellent lesson and love the nose splotch!
ReplyDeleteYou and Floyd are such good teachers and my Mom and I just loved watching your video of y'all zooming together. Fun!

You boys all made me smile. Looks like you had a great time and I love how little Alex let you both sniff his belly and how you went over to him and put your snout around his little puppy body.
ReplyDeleteAlyssa, Mr. Fox & Scruffy
Pardon my ignorance--is zooming something other than running around and having a general good time?
ReplyDeleteExcellent yard for zoomie practice! Floyd looks like he was trying to teach by example!!
ReplyDeleteBRAVO DOUGALL!!
ReplyDeleteYOU HAVE JUST THE PURRFECT YARD FOR THIS TOO
HUGS MADI YOUR BFFF
Well done!! And Floyd did very well being more gentle with little Alex. The video made mum giggle with joy at Alex and his little puppy legs trying to keep up with the big boys!
ReplyDeleteEdgar and his mum
P.s. if you show many more videos like that mum may get the idea that we need a baby too...
Well done!!

What a willing pupil! We think he's getting the hang of it. And Floyd was so good....except the drool.
ReplyDeleteXXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy
SHE loves the upside down Alex...there's just something about scottie tummies.
Yes we definitely think Alex will get the hang of it soon. Be even better when his legs grow some more. Love the upside down shot - Alex looks like he's grinning!

Y'all did a great job at teaching zooming. Alex looks like he catches on fast. He seems to be a good sport to not mind Floyd's slobbers on him.
ReplyDeleteAroo to you
Me and Nellie think zoomies is a very important skill for a little puppy to master. Just watch out for Floyd's slobber.
ReplyDeleteYou're getting the hang of it, Alex! You and Floyd are great teachers, Dougall! We loved your video!
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots♥

Great job guys :-)
ReplyDeleteSlobber. Eeeewwwwww. That Alex is a sweetie. And you're a good cousin to teach him the ropes. LOVE that video.
ReplyDeleteArOOOO! Stuart
Aww, so sweet. Slobber is a good sign :-) Alex has great teachers.

Alex is too stinking cute! Glad you both were able to teach him some things about zooming - although he seems like he's still in the beginning stages of learning you guys won't rough him up too much. I think Floyd did a good job of being gentle with him. Little Linus was overwhelmed with Blueberry running all over the place - but after a little while - he learned to zoom really fast too. Alex will have it down pat before you know it!
ReplyDeleteEww drooool! I'm sorry Alex. You've been Floydied!
