Alex Day: A bit different...

Yesterday was Alex Day, but to be a bit different, instead of us going to see Alex, he came to see us!

Our yard isn't as big, or as nice as Alex's (the peep says she isn't a gardener).

Because it was such a hot day, 33C (91.4F) the peeps got out the sprinkler for us to play under.

Alex and I weren't that into the sprinkler, so I insisted on my blue pool.

Floyd doesn't like the pool, the peeps tried chucking in some of his toys, to encourage him to jump in.

But Floyd wasn't convinced.

Either way, we all had a good time.

Alex was pooped by the end...

So they took him home to snooze...

I hope you all did something fun this weekend.

We were all saddened to hear about Pip crossing the bridge. He hope he and Fergie are having fun together, with all our other furends who've crossed.

Just incase you're wondering, fire conditions eased briefly yesterday, but, have again been bad today.
The Rural Fire Service has confirmed that over 200 homes have been destroyed and 1 man died while defending his home.

Conditions are set to be bad well into the coming week.

I can't see an end in sight... This is only early Spring... Summer hasn't even started. I fear a bad, bad year...

We are lucky though, apart from the smoke that has been blown our way, there is no sign of fire where we live, in the Riverina. I keep my paws crossed that it stays that way...

  1. Supposed to be 35° tomorrow..... We're getting warnings for people to leave their homes in certain areas. Looks like no respite.

  8. I see the pool water got substantially dirtier. I declare that this counts as your bath and you don't have to take any more in 2013.
