State on fire....

Floyd, the peeps and I are thinking tonight off our fellow Aussie's affected by what the Premier of NSW has called the worst fire conditions... ever...

They are saying, that when the conditions ease, they won't be counting the losses (property) by the dozens, but by the hundreds. And that, short of a miracle, lives have undoubtedly been lost.

It is a dark, dark day for the state of New South Wales.

I hope all my Blogville furends are safe and well tonight.

We wish we could do something to help...

Sydney, blanketed by smoke...

And this is just the beginning of the fire season...

  1. Lordy we pray that everyone is safe. Take care.
    Have a tremendous Thursday.
    Best wishes Molly

  2. Howdy Mates, we too have paws crossed and hope the fires stop soon. It's a worry for sure this early in the season. Take care.
No worries, and LOVE, Stella and Rory

  3. It is a yearly concern...of coarse they had a lot of rain which means more growth and more to burn. We have our paws crossed for them

  4. We saw some pretty rough pictures of the damage. Hope everyone is okay.

  5. OH DOUGALL... WE have TWO sets of furends who live in NSW. Ernie's Roxy lives in DUBBO and Barb and Toby live in Manilla. We have heard about the terrible HEAT and Strong WINDS that they have been having... and Also about the Big FIRE in the parking lot of the Stadium in Sydney. WE have our Paws Crossed fur EVERYBUDDY in NSW.

  6. Yikes! Sending lots of good thoughts
    Benny & Lily

  7. After last year, I thought there was nothing left to burn.

  8. Same here, mates, we've been watching the News. Can't believe all the damage.

    XXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy

  9. It is so sad. There seems to be so many disaster. Lee and I felt so lucky the other week a meteor streaked across the sky just when I went out for my last potty of the night. They say it enter the atmosphere near Frankie and could be seen in five states. But if that had hit dog we would not be here. It literally frightened the poop out of me.
    Thanks for being a friend
