What do you call a frozen Scottie?
This is a throw back to before I got the bad news, when it was still winter in Australia. It was August when the peep took me for a drive up to the mountains so we could both check out snow - for the first time!
That's right, neither of us had seen it before!
You might notice that most of the plants and trees are burnt. That's because we visited a little town called Batlow. It was nearly lost during last summer's terrible bushfires. It is timber country and is surrounded by pine forests which, unlike eucalypts (and other natives), can't recover after a fire.
I'm glad the peep took me to see the snow, it was...

Snow is fun but you have to watch out for the snow balls that like to cling to your skirt.
ReplyDeleteThe human was ready for those snow balls, but I mustn't have spent enough time in the snow to get them.
DeleteDougall, you have no idea how much we LOVE snow!!! For the past several years we haven't gotten very much. For some reason Mom is happy about that, but we would like lots and lots!!!
ReplyDeleteWoos - Lightning, Misty, and Timber
I don't think I would mind if it snowed at my house, I like the cold.
DeleteOMD, bestest video EVERS!!! You knows I haven't seen snow since I was a wee lass with my fur-mom in Wisconsin...I loved it too! I am so jealous of your snow prints! The Scottitude made Ma smile!
ReplyDeleteKisses,
Ruby ♥
My human liked my snow prints too, she said it looked like bear prints! Grrr!
DeleteHi Dougall,
ReplyDeleteSo pleased you got to see snow last winter. One of life's great experiences! But tell me, did you get snow balls in your leg furs?
Toodle pip!
PS Oh but what a shame about all the burnt trees.
Bertie.
No snow balls (except for the ones aunty Nyssa threw at my human... BOL!
DeleteSnow is just the bestest! I hope we see lots of it this coming winter!
ReplyDeleteDoes it snow at your house every year?
DeleteThe recent fires here didn't affect us but some family in Oregon had to leave their home. Lucky that all was well when they were allowd to return.
ReplyDeleteGee, sounds scary!
DeleteSnow....albino brain chiggers. Glad you got that experience all of you.
ReplyDeleteOh, I haven't heard of 'chiggers' before...
DeleteWe've never been to the snow. There were a few light falls about an hour and a half from us, but we didn't go. You're so lucky, it looks like fun!
ReplyDeleteYou should make your peep take you next time, it was fun!
DeleteSnow makes snowballs between your toes ~ seeing it once is fun ~ seeing it every winter not so much. Glad you got to see the flakes Dougall.
