Throwback Thursday

 This time last year it was 46°C (115°F). We had the cooler on but Dougall was still struggling...


When we dared to venture outside everything was blanketed in smoke. 


We couldn't even see the sun...


We were approximately 50 km from the fires, so we were safe. But looking back at the pictures brings back the fear.

    Fire is always scary. We hope you don't have to deal with that again. Nice to see Dougall.

    Having watched those horrendous fires on TV a year ago from the other side of the world, we can easily imagine how 50 km did not feel very far away at the time.
    Fingers and paws crossed for no repeats this year.
