Blaming it on the dog...

Now, I am a self confessed sock thief... I love socks, they are great for chewing or a game of tug o' war with Floyd, and if the peeps are silly enough to leave the socks laying around, then, as far as I am concerned they are fair game.

BUT.

(No matter what She tries to tell you.)

I DID NOT take her glove!

You see, the silly peep has lost one of her gloves. And she's trying to pin it on me.

She didn't see me take it, hasn't seen me with it, hasn't found it any where in the house. But still reckons I took it...

It's a fit up! It's not fair!

Now, she hasn't grouched at me, and I'm not in trouble... But I still don't like the accusations. What ever happened to innocent until proven guilty?!

How could she blame this cute face..?

Have the peeps ever tried to pin something on you that you just didn't do?

  1. A glove IS NOT a sock. Even if the Germans call it a handshue. Just keep drawing attention to Floyd. He seems to get the blame.

Which reminds us, was that Floyd's handiwork on your floor on the zoomie post?

  4. Us Scotties should go a wee bit mad with these 'people'. Even I am a Westie, but hey-ho! - Charlie Boy the West Highland White Terrier

I always get the blame when food goes missing, maybe it is me, but shush, they will never know!! - Roman the Cocker Spaniel

If a slipper or pair of socks goes missing (my favourite things to chew) my humans immediately turn to me, but the difference between your story and mine is that it always is me! - Brooke the Shih Tzu

  5. Dougall that is not right pal. We know you are innocent and the squirrels did it. How could mum think you could do such a thing? I always get blamed for anything that gets ruined in the garden. Have a terrific Tuesday.
    Best wishes Molly

  6. Blame it on the washing machine. I'm pretty sure ours eats socks on a regular basis.

  7. Dougall...we think your peep needs to go for some legal training or something, this whole blame the dogs for everything is just not on. We can totally see the innocence written all over your face.

  11. Yes, but I do tend to like gloves, so I would be completely guilty on this one!

  13. Are you certain that Floyd doesn't have a thing for gloves like you do for socks?

  14. Well it could be worse - my dweeb brother is an underwear thief....imagine mom's surprise one cold frosty morning going outside to find a pair of dads underwear frozen flat on the grass - glove seems a mere piffle to that !!!

  15. We will never believe you took that glove, just because you have a million socks stashed away in your bed, he he.

  18. It is not fair at all Dougall. You need to get Sarge to come in with a team and look for evidence. I get blamed for all kinds of things around here. One time Mommy got up and when she came back here sandwich was gone. She had the nerve to blame me. Can you believe it??? It wasn't even that good...ooops I mean I don't know where it went.

  20. Look at that face. There's no way you could've taken that glove. Besides, gloves are funny looking, with all their finger holes and such. Who'd want to play with one of those?!

  21. We have NO Idea WHY Peeps insist on Placing BLAME... ON WE Innocent Ones. Sorry Buddy.
Why in the Squirrel's Nests would she even THINK you would want a BLAND ol' GLOVE. Now if this was a Missing SOCK... THAT would be a totally DIFFERENT ball game. RIGHT?

  22. She find it sooner or later laying in the driveway or something. Say no to gloves and yes, yes to socks

  23. That face is so full of innocence that I am shocked, shocked that she should for one moment think that you could be culpable.
You deserve extra treats and cuddles as a make up - and don't give in too easily, make her pay for her suspicions ;-)

  24. Obviously S.O.D. (someother doggy) has been to visit you again. He gets Me into all sorts of trouble. How could your mummy possibly think it was you that took a glove. Shame on her. Love Nellie and Jasper, the two bestest maremmas in the land.

  25. Dougall, why oh why do we get called sock thieves. Totally unfair. We should be called sock collectors AND be rewarded for it. Just cause the peeps are a little, or a lot, lazy and don't put them away, we get the blame. Obviously your mum didn't put the glove away and now you get the blame, sheesh. We totally agree, with your cute face, you are an angel. Our mum and dad have tried to blame things on us, butt nothing has stuck hehehe. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory
