I am so sorry to hear this. I was Grady's Mom. I lost him a year ago. Dougall had a wonderful family and a great life. He will live on in your hearts and the smiles of those who remember him.
Been there. The best cure is to realize that they don't have as much time as we do. Honor him by rescuing one of his kind. We knew Kyla was going to leave us so we got Kali and let Kyla train her. It worked well.

I know that nothing I can say can take away the pain of the loss of this most special Scottie, but I hope that you find peace in your memories and comfort in knowing that Dougall's loss is being shared by those like me who will light a candle for him tonight as he journey's to the Rainbow Bridge where you will meet again.
