Floyd and I like to chew on sticks and
leaves and other things we find in the garden. Sometimes we also like to bring
these things into the house to chew on, you know, in the comfort of the lounge
room.
Seems like the humans didn’t really appreciate
it very much; they seemed to think we were making a mess!! Can you image? I
thought of it more like returning the house to nature, but they weren’t
convinced...
What do you think? I really don’t see the
issue!
But she decided she’d had enough of the
daily sweeping, mopping and vacuuming and as a result Floyd and I have been BANISHED!
That’s right, when they have to go out, to
work or where ever they go Floyd and I get turfed outside and the doggie-door
gets locked!
To be quite honest, I don’t mind it too
much, I love a good run and dig around in the garden and, being a Scottie I don’t
really notice the colder weather. But Floyd on the other hand, you’d think his
throat had been cut or something!! He misses his bestest of buddies (even more
bestest than me) the heater.
On an unrelated and much happier note, last
week we got to meet our uncle Fergus. He lives with my human’s parent. He’s a 9
year old black/brindle Scottie.
It went fairly well, the human’s weren’t
sure how Fergus would react, being an older dog around us hyperactive puppies. Floyd
was a bit of a scaredy dog when Fergus first arrived, but eventually everyone calmed down and we had a bit of a romp in the garden.
Anyway, I have to be off now. I have my first appointment with the dog groomer, tata!
Really, I mean REALLY, force outside when your play area is inside, That Just Not Right, hope you guy had a good play with Fergus
ReplyDeleteSusie & Bites
Pees, hope you entend to paetisipate in our running events, check out todays post and get ready to run!
I hope to, just working on the pictures. :)
DeleteThe noose is tightening. Human tyranny reigns. You can't bring the outside inside and you can't bring the inside outside. Then They tell you that you can't dig in the garden outside and I don't have to tell you about the house rules for the inside. Is there anyplace I can be a dog?????
ReplyDeleteApparently we are confined to so called "Dog Parks"...
DeleteAre you a scottie? YOU'RE SO CUTE! Why are you white? By the way, nice meeting you.
ReplyDeleteWell, don't worry. Outside is where nature is and where nature is a whole lot of sniffing adventures.
Your header looks so cute.
Huggies and Cheese,
Haopee
Hello Haopee!
DeleteYes, I am a Scottish Terrier. Scotties come in three different colours, Black (which everyone recognises), brindle and wheaten (like me!).
Hope that clears things up for you.
Waggles,
Dougall
I'm assuming you'll be calling animal rescue immediately...hehe! Deccy x
ReplyDeleteI had not thought of that... Might be a good idea...
DeleteGood luck at the groomers.
ReplyDeleteBella and I bring leaves and grass and twigs in on our skirts. But Roxy brings in whole branches. You're right about just making the inside natural....what's the problem? Humans!
XXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy
We've done branches too, it's always a challenge to get them through the dog door!!
DeleteOur mom finds sticks and rocks and moss clumps in the house all the time and it doesn't go over well at all. Moms can be such a pain sometimes!
ReplyDeleteWe can't wait to see your shorter do, Dougall.
Love ya lots,
Mitch and Molly
I like grass and rocks too!
DeleteI'm Mollie, new to the block, I bring in clumps of mud, moss, sticks anything I can find that looks fun. I usually wait until Mum's just finished the hoovering :) Mum's are such clean freaks!
ReplyDeleteCome see me
mollie and alfie
I'm friends with Mitch and Milly
Big Licks
Mollie
Sorry I mean't to say Mitch and Molly, my paw slipped. :)
ReplyDeleteHaha! My human spent ages sweeping and vacuuming and mopping just this afternoon, and as soon as she let us back in the house Floyd and I made little paw prints on the clean tiles! Teehee!
DeleteROFL!!!!!! Teeeee Heeeeeeee! I love the mess y'all made. I make 'em, too, but not like THAT!!!!! Oh me. My side's splitting from all the laughing.... GOOD JOB!!!!!
ReplyDeleteGive those peeps something to do!
Arooo! Stuart
I guess the mess is pretty impressive because there are 2 doggies here to make it!
DeleteBoy you really did make a mess. I mean, we have that kind of stuff around the house all the time but our house is a kennel with 15 dogs running in and out during the day. Whoa, that really is a mess of sticks.
ReplyDeleteI am really quite impressed.
It is a shame that the humans didn't feel the same way!
DeleteHi, We love meeting new dogs, especially Scotties and most especially "sweetie wheaties"!!
ReplyDeleteXOXO
Lilly, Piper, Carrleigh and Ivy
It is lovely to meet you too. :)
DeleteI can't see a problem at all with the beautiful art you brought inside. Humans can be so hard to figure out at times. They have tables and stuff made from things outside, so why can't we bring in stuff too?? I don't get it but I hope you get along well outside.
ReplyDeleteLoveys Sasha
I'm glad someone appreciates our work.
DeleteHey Dougal, thanks for the info on Lavender. My Vickie is going to get on line and see if that is a plant that will survive in our part of the country and if so we are going to go and get a ton of plants to have here. It is not that we have a ton of flies, but we don't like them at all.
ReplyDeleteMy humans had a fly problem last summer and lavender did the trick.
DeleteDougall I have come home to these messes. From the human perspective, I will just say it is a good thing you pooches are all so cute! One time we were all out to dinner and I hadn't been home yet, but my husband had the house cleaned as a surprise. He said, 'I have a surprise for you... cleanliness.' I opened the door and saw something akin to what you and Floyd did. I have to say, I laughed my head off! Who are we humans kidding anyway??? Hope you get to have fun and live it up some more!
ReplyDeleteAlyssa, Mr. Fox & Scruffy
Oh my... I don't imagine your hubby thought it was as funny as you did!!!
DeleteOh Dougall, training two legged ones can be hard - keep working at it and in time I'm sure they will see, as mine have (sometimes) that My way of doing things - like bringing the outdoors in - is the best way!! We are glad uncle fergus liked you both!!
ReplyDeleteWoof
Groucho
I guess Floyd and I just need to be more persistent!
