BANISHED!!

Floyd and I like to chew on sticks and leaves and other things we find in the garden. Sometimes we also like to bring these things into the house to chew on, you know, in the comfort of the lounge room.

Seems like the humans didn’t really appreciate it very much; they seemed to think we were making a mess!! Can you image? I thought of it more like returning the house to nature, but they weren’t convinced...

What do you think? I really don’t see the issue!

But she decided she’d had enough of the daily sweeping, mopping and vacuuming and as a result Floyd and I have been BANISHED!

That’s right, when they have to go out, to work or where ever they go Floyd and I get turfed outside and the doggie-door gets locked!

To be quite honest, I don’t mind it too much, I love a good run and dig around in the garden and, being a Scottie I don’t really notice the colder weather. But Floyd on the other hand, you’d think his throat had been cut or something!! He misses his bestest of buddies (even more bestest than me) the heater.

On an unrelated and much happier note, last week we got to meet our uncle Fergus. He lives with my human’s parent. He’s a 9 year old black/brindle Scottie.

It went fairly well, the human’s weren’t sure how Fergus would react, being an older dog around us hyperactive puppies. Floyd was a bit of a scaredy dog when Fergus first arrived, but eventually everyone calmed down and we had a bit of a romp in the garden.

Anyway, I have to be off now. I have my first appointment with the dog groomer, tata!

  2. The noose is tightening. Human tyranny reigns. You can't bring the outside inside and you can't bring the inside outside. Then They tell you that you can't dig in the garden outside and I don't have to tell you about the house rules for the inside. Is there anyplace I can be a dog?????

  3. Are you a scottie? YOU'RE SO CUTE! Why are you white? By the way, nice meeting you.

Well, don't worry. Outside is where nature is and where nature is a whole lot of sniffing adventures.

    Your header looks so cute.

    1. Hello Haopee!
Yes, I am a Scottish Terrier. Scotties come in three different colours, Black (which everyone recognises), brindle and wheaten (like me!).
Hope that clears things up for you.

  5. Good luck at the groomers.

Bella and I bring leaves and grass and twigs in on our skirts. But Roxy brings in whole branches. You're right about just making the inside natural....what's the problem? Humans!

  6. Our mom finds sticks and rocks and moss clumps in the house all the time and it doesn't go over well at all. Moms can be such a pain sometimes!

  10. Boy you really did make a mess. I mean, we have that kind of stuff around the house all the time but our house is a kennel with 15 dogs running in and out during the day. Whoa, that really is a mess of sticks.

    I am really quite impressed.

  12. I can't see a problem at all with the beautiful art you brought inside. Humans can be so hard to figure out at times. They have tables and stuff made from things outside, so why can't we bring in stuff too?? I don't get it but I hope you get along well outside.

  13. Hey Dougal, thanks for the info on Lavender. My Vickie is going to get on line and see if that is a plant that will survive in our part of the country and if so we are going to go and get a ton of plants to have here. It is not that we have a ton of flies, but we don't like them at all.

  14. Dougall I have come home to these messes. From the human perspective, I will just say it is a good thing you pooches are all so cute! One time we were all out to dinner and I hadn't been home yet, but my husband had the house cleaned as a surprise. He said, 'I have a surprise for you... cleanliness.' I opened the door and saw something akin to what you and Floyd did. I have to say, I laughed my head off! Who are we humans kidding anyway??? Hope you get to have fun and live it up some more!
