Walking, Walking, WALKING!!

So my peep has been doing this Walk In Her Shoes Challenge for two days now. Funny thing is, she found out that she already does the 10,000 steps the challenge asks for in her normal day... She must do a lot of them at work, 'cos I don't see her do many around here!! BOL!!

Any way, she decided she would feel like she was cheating if she didn't do extra, so, she's been doing her normal 10,000 PLUS walking around my Loche (Lake Albert) of an afternoon... She said it is nearly 6km (3.7 miles) from our front door, around the loche and back... PHEW!

She said it would be too hard to take both Floyd and I around the loche by herself, so she took Floyd around on the first day. She said he looked like he needed to burn some energy when he was zooming around the house and running into walls... At first I was upset about her going without me, that was until the other peep gave me a big bone to chew... That made up for it...

She forgot to take the flashy box when she took Floyd, so there are no pics... But she timed her walk and said it took her and Floyd just under 1 hour to do the 6km track. This is what Floyd looked like when he came back...

She took me around the loche yesterday... Phew... Let me just say... My legs are A LOT shorter than Floyd's!!! It took me a bit longer... half an hour longer than Floyd. I was well and truly stuffed when I got home, but it was fun, so it was worth it.

Here I am at the start...

Telling her to put the flashy box down and hurry up!

When I started looking like I might give up she let me have a paddle in the water...

Sluuuuurp! This water tastes great!

Do you reckon we could just paddle to the other side? Would it be quicker??

We eventually made it home (in time for dinner) and her step counter said...

WOWIE!!!

Remember, if you would like to make a donation to support her and to help women living in poverty (or to support my pursuit of extra walkies) please follow THIS LINK.

You can read about one of the women my peep is trying to help here, her name is Ang and some days she takes 95,000 steps... Makes my peeps 18,000 seem like nothing...

STAY TUNED FOR OUR THURSDAY POST.... THERE HAS BEEN PROGRESS IN THE FLOYD CARPET EATING SCANDAL!!!!

  22. I was reading your post about Fergus, I am sad to hear the news. Lee remembers how her Half Pence looked with his skirt all shaved off on one side. I pray he is in no pain. Your mom is doing a great thing with the steps, I hope she raised a lot of money.
    Thanks for being a friend
