Are you ready? Lets go!
If you take a left from our front yard and head down hill a short distance you get to...
My loch.
It's called Loch Albert, the birds love it. The humans complained, they were hard to photograph, because apparently Floyd and I were a bit too boisterous for them...
But they did manage to get a photo of some duckies...
And this guy... Not sure what he is...
And a Crested Pigeon...
Right near the loch is the primary school my human went to when she was a little girl.
Next to the school is Crooked Creek which feeds water into the loch. The water it low at the moment, but not long ago it was in flood, and the bridge got washed away and had to be rebuilt.
On the other side of the creek we saw some fellas who were nearly as woolie as I am at the moment...
Floyd and I hope you're having a lovely weekend and that you enjoyed our little tour which was cut short by rain.
Of course we enjoyed it. So what's a little rain during a tour? I particularly enjoyed the wolves in sheep's clothing.
ReplyDeleteYou gotta watch out for those guys.
DeleteWaggles, Dougall.
Great place to walk. Too bad they wouldn't let you loose to REALLY chase those birds!
ReplyDeleteXXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy
I tried to chase a magpie, the humans giggled at me. They reckon I wouldn't be a match for it... Hmpf!
DeleteGreat tour... After reading this post twice, I still don't know what a loch is... is it some kind of birdy? ducky? or swimming chicken?
ReplyDeleteWow, you live where your mom grew? Isn't that just too cool?
Huggies and Cheese,
Haopee
Oh sorry, Loch is the Scottish word for lake...
DeleteYeah, we live only 2 and a half blocks from the house she grew up in. It's a nice place to live.
Waggles, Dougall.
Lots of places to have fun guys. Grand tour and we wish you a great Sunday filled with sun and fun.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
It was filled with fun, and snoozes, and rain... Sigh, no sun.
DeleteWe loved tagging along with you on your walkie! There is sure a lot of wildlife in your neighborhood.
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots,
Mitch and Molly
There is, it's great.
DeleteWaggles, Dougall.
OH, more water, PLEASE send me some, I will trade you Bites for some, he would be after those woolly mammoths like a slow bullet!
ReplyDeleteSusie
BOL! I imagine I would have had the same reaction, if there hadn't been a creek between me and them!
DeleteWe just LUVS it when we gets to see where our furiends (especially da new ones) go fur dere walkies! Thanks fur da tour!
ReplyDeleteWoofs and Licks,
Maggie Mae and MAx
Great to meet you guys! Floydie says hi!
DeleteWow, that looks like a great place to live. We are lucky too, as we have lots and lots of walks straight from our garden gate. And Bobby thinks its fun to chase birds too, especially the black ones. Me, Finlay, I like to hunt out squirrels, but they are just too darn quick and nimble AND they can run up trees - so not fair.
ReplyDeleteRooOooodles, Bobby & Finlay
Squirrels, eh? They sound like fun, we don't have them here.
DeleteWhat a great tour ... we love the Loch!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks Duncan. :)
DeleteI don't know how I missed your post yesterday! My apologies. Ma was cleanin' (a RARE occurance for sure!), and didn't spend too much time on the puter, so she must have just missed it! Anyhu, I think your Loche is just lovely. I say, be as rauchous as you want (Floyd on the lead looks just like ME!!) I am sorry to say I must have taught him a thing or two while he was hidin' out in my tunnel....sorry.
ReplyDeleteKisses,
Ruby
Hah! I doubt Floyd picked up any bad habits from you! He already had plenty of his own!
DeleteI like your neighborhood Dougall, you know why? Because I see lamb choppers there.
ReplyDeleteThanks for being a friend
Sweet William The Scot
They look pretty enticing hey. Now, I just have to figure out how to get the humans to walk me on the their side of the creek!
