What a start to the week...

I have sure had one horrible, rough start to the week...

I was forced to have a B.A.T.H...

Ugh...

At first, after they had filled the tub, I thought I'd got off lightly, when for once they actually dragged Floyd into the water.... (this is only the SECOND bath he's ever had....)

Poor guy didn't know what he was in for, he actually looked excited to begin with, he hung around the tub, drinking the water and watching it fill up.

I don't think he was too pleased when he realised what was happening...

 Oh dear...

He tried to make a brake for it, but they were too quick, and pulled him back in...

Floyd went a bit funny when it was all done, he ran around like a silly fella, chasing his tail and generally being a bit of a dork...

After Floyd was done, I got really worried when they didn't empty out the water... And then my fears were confirmed, when, plop... They dumped me in the water...

Can you tell how pleased I am to be here...

I felt more than a little betrayed, when my special little human popped in for a visit, and instead of rescuing me... He actually HELPED them wash me...

What sort of friend is he? Sitting by while I'm being tortured?

Now look at me... I'm all scruffy and fluffy!

It'll take me WEEKS to build up the stinky gunge in my coat all over again!

-----

On another note, my Uncle Fergus had to be taken to the Dogtor on the weekend, he's had a bit of a... Runny tummy...

The humans are a bit concerned, he's been a bit lethargic recently; and they can't think of anything that would have given him an upset tummy, his diet is the same special one he has because of his cushings... Nothing in that department is any different....

So please, send your positive thoughts to Fergus, while he rests up at the V.E.T's...

Hopefully we'll hear some good news about him soon.

  1. Floyd looks positively mortified in that first picture! Poor fella!

I can't believe that you not only had to have a bath - but they put you in the water AFTER Floyd was in there. Good grief!

Hoping your Uncle F feels better soon. I hope it isn't anything serious!

  2. I'm not worried about the baths-we all have to endure them. I'm worried about Fergus.

  3. Oh poor Uncle Fergus! We are wishing him happy thoughts and hoping the dogtor won't find anything wrong.
Heehee, that Floyd is just too cute. Mama always laughs when she can see the whites of our eyes, she thinks we're giving her attitude! We had a bath yesterday too, always no fun after getting perfectly briny and sandy at the beach!

  4. We hope Fergus is ok. We don't like when doggies feel sick. Poor Floyd looks shocked and truly saddened at this turn of events and you don't look happy either but you both look wonderful! I bet you both even smell good too!

That look on Floyd's face is priceless! But it was very sneaky of them to put in, too!

  7. Dougall, I am crossing paws for Fergus and thinking very special thoughts.

The horror of a bath. I got tricked into one also this last week. My Sister brought me my very own ice cream cup and just claws I got some on me, I had to get a bath. I am working everyday to get the good stink back. I feel for you my sweet pal. Good luck and I am hoping you will be nice a stinky again soon.

  8. Oh no, I'm keepin' my paws crossed for Fergus. Such a sweet face.

Those peeps can be sooo tricky! My pal Floyd looks shocked and horrified! Poor fella. But, Dougall, don't you think they could have at least put some FRESH water in the tubbie BEFORE givin you the bathie?? You had to bathe in Floyd's 'essence', if you know what I mean?! DEMAND fresh water next time!! BOL!

    Kisses,

  14. We hope that Uncle Fergus is not too poorly and that he's back home soon - lots of woofs to him.

We're sure it won't take you and Floyd that long to get your own smells back, trouble with that though is that another B.A.T.H. will follow!
