A yearning...

The other day my peeps and I were watching a show on the TV (you all know how much I love TV) when all of a sudden I heard a sound, a sound which caused be me to taken over by a sudden and inexplicable yearning...

I don't know what came over me, I started to howl, to aroo, to call out to my roots, to my Ancestral Homeland... to Scotland.

The peeps explained to me that what I was hearing was bagpipes, they said they are an instrument unique to Scotland, which, as you all know is where my Scottish Terrier ancestors come from.

The peeps weren't quick enough with the camera to capture the original moment on film. So we recreated it for you by finding this lovely bagpipe tune on Youtube.

  1. The park right next door to where I used to work - a man would go into the middle of the park every Friday and play the bagpipes. I kinda liked it! And I can tell you do too! Way to harmonize! :)

    1. It wasn't really his sort of music, he prefers the kind his name sake (Pink Floyd) makes.

  18. Oh, Dougall, my friend, your singin' is just magical. It incouraged me to sing along, although, my singin' is not as sweet as yours (I'm English, ya know), so my 'Scottish' singin' is a bit rusty.

    Kisses,

    Ruby
