Today is National Bandanna Day in Australia. It's a day where peeps buy and wear bandannas to raise money for an organisation called CanTeen.
CanTeen is a group which support young people (ages 12 to 24) who are living with cancer. This may mean they or a family member is ill. Their philosophy is that "no young person should go through the cancer experience alone".
This is an organisation that is close to my peep's heart. She lost her uncle to cancer to 8 years ago, he left behind her 4 beautiful young cousins (the youngest was 4, the eldest 10). The older kids accessed CanTeen to help them through the horrible experience of losing their Dad. They were able to meet other kids who were going through similar experiences, to get away on camps and access other services.
So, to show our support for this great organisation, Floyd and I decided to get kitted out in some super cool CanTeen bandannas!
This post is dedicated to Maddy, Josh, Immy and Spencer and of course their dad Graeme (RIP).
