Well, while I didn't mind the muck, the peeps (once they had a good giggle) didn't like the idea of me getting around the house in the state I was in. Luckily, they had just bought Floyd and I a new toy for summer.
We had a little taste of summer last week, so when my peeps were shopping on the weekend they bought Floyd and I a little something to keep us cool...
And, after seeing how dirty I'd gotten (while helping them, I might add) they decided it would be the perfect time to try it out.
Hmmm.... Look at the colour of that water... I wonder what that is all about... BOL!!
Floyd wasn't really interested in the pool that much (except for when they were filling it up with the hose, he liked that bit).
I, on the other paw, took to our blue pool like a duck to well... water!!

Oh... By the way... Despite my pleading, I still got a bath after the swim...
LOL...I can't stop laughing at your face from the previous post!! MUD FACE!!! I've had one of those in my time...but yours was the BEST!!!!
ReplyDeleteGee thanks, I did my best. :P
DeleteWhat??? Still gots a bath??? Oh, man, that sucks.
ReplyDeleteKisses,
Ruby
I know... so unfair!
DeleteUmm...THAT WAS YOUR BATH. What is wrong with humans?
ReplyDeleteNora
That was what I tried to say!
DeleteHowdy Dougall and Floyd, love your new pool. We HAD one the same until SOMEBODY stood on the lid! Now we are waiting for another. Dougall mate, we read your last post and the last photo is a total crack up. Thanks for the smile this morning. No worries, and love, Stella and Rory P.S. sure was a lot of dirt in the pool after your play hehe.
ReplyDeleteGlad to make you giggle!
DeleteI think that is highly irregular - a pre-bath??? Gosh - maybe I can send Blueberry over there to set them straight!
ReplyDeleteWay to turn the water into brown muck! :)
What's worse is that the bath (the one in the bathroom) was an extra long one... She said that I was full of grit... I didn't mind...
DeleteThat was an impressive amount of dirt you got in the new pool! Well done. But we think a bath afterwards was totally UNFAIR!!!
ReplyDeleteXXXOOO Daisy, Bella & Roxy
I know, I know... But how do I convince her of that?!
DeleteYou got the pool water REALLY dirty, Dougall! Nice job!
ReplyDeleteLove ya lots,
Mitch and Molly
Why thank you... :P
DeleteWHAT?????? Why would that give you a BAFF after you had a nice WASH OFF in your COOL DROOL POOL??? Silly Peeps. Sorry buddy.
ReplyDeleteThanks for commiserating with me...
DeleteI will nevers ever furget your face from da last post...PRICELESS!!!! But water I does not do. I will just watch you while you swim. Oh and can I get an umbrella while I is watchin'?

Sigh... I know...
DeleteDougall mom loved your muddy face pic so much she copied it and e-mailed it to our aunt, granny, granpa and even her boss!
ReplyDeleteWe would love a pool like yours for summer - mom spoke to dad about it but he wasn't convinced. We're going to make him read this post and then maybe he'll change his mind!
Wally & Sammy
Hehe, glad you shared my mucky face around.. :P And I really think you NEED a pool for summer!
DeleteIt's so funny when they try to help us and end all dirty.
ReplyDeleteNo doubt that the bath is the best part. Keep it up!

Best! Oh NO, it was the WORST!
DeleteHi Muddy Buddy we think the bath was well unfair. Have a terrific Thursday.
ReplyDeleteBest wishes Molly
Yup, sure was...
DeleteBaths are AWESOME! Don't we look great afterwards?
ReplyDeleteAwesome, I don't think so!
DeleteNice to meet you! I can see you're a true earthdog, as a terrier should be. It's impressive that you're a waterdog, too!
ReplyDeleteHehe, thank you.
DeleteDougall, that looks like so much fun! Would you give Cocco a lesson or two about enjoying water? You'd think a pig would like to splash around but he is a scaredy pig!
ReplyDelete-Katie and Coccolino the mini pig
Hmm, it depends on the context of the water. If it involves a bath and washing, well, I don't much like that either...
DeleteI just discovered your blog through Pinterest. I also have a Wheaten Scottie named Dougal! (We only use one l.) We live in Colorado and have two Scotties -- the other one is black. I will keep an eye on your Dougall's adventures. :) Joy
ReplyDeleteHello Joy, lovely to meet you. How cool to think there is another Dougall out there like me. It's a shame you guys are so far away, or we could have met up...
DeleteGlad you had fun, but bummer about the bath.
ReplyDeleteNubbin wiggles,
Oskar
Bummer indeed...
DeleteDougall, you are one lucky pup! What fun to help in the garden and then swim in the pool!
ReplyDeleteAlyssa, Mr. Fox & Scruffy
It was fun!
DeleteMy sweet Dougall dog, you had to get sprayed and then a bath!! The horror, I am so sorry. I do like your pool, it would be fun with no water and just tons of toys.
ReplyDeleteLoveys Sasha
But the water in the pool was great!
