LET'S GET READY TO...
RUMBLE!!!!!
In the red corner, we have the courageous and CUTE Team Terrier!!
And today's prize? ETERNAL GLORRRYYY! (Well... Bragging rights anyway...)
Ref: I want a good clean fight between you two. No nipping, or biting, good luck!
(bell rings)
Well… This Terrier duo includes the young Alex the Brindle Baby. He may be small, but I don't think we should underestimate the power he'll get from his sheer will and low centre of gravity!! Just look at the eagerness of this young dog, he's straight in there!! Grabbing that sock with full force!!
It looks like he's taken every pawdy by surprise! Even His team mate Dougall who is nowhere to be seen at this point. Look at "Pretty-Boy" Floyd he's got a battle on his paws, using some choice words very early on in this battle!
Floyd may be the big dog in this battle, but I hope he hasn't come into it too cocky. He is known to be a bit of a brute, he does pick on Dougall who happens to be his younger brother!! I think this is Dougall's chance to get his own back, as they say... And look here he is, about to make his move!
Oh yes! You can hear Dougall from here, he's yelling "pay back is a female dog!" as he comes in from the side to grab the sock, nearly knocking Floyd right off his gangly legs!
Look at the teamwork between the two Scotties, they might be small but they sure know how to work that sock. Floyd looks like he's been taken by surprise...
And YES! He's beginning to falter! He's definitely stumbling, look! He's taking a back step...
And yes, it looks like that might be his undoing, he's taken one step too many, right into the metal water dish...
BANG
On no... It looks like the big dog has lost his nerve!! He's jumped nearly out of his furs! Clear into the air! And, oh no, oh DEAR... He LET GO of the sock!!! That's right folks, Floyd has LOST GRIP of the sock!
Ref: GAME OVER!!!
Oh my DOG! It's all OVER!! The Terriers have it! The Terriers have WON!!! And look at the Floyd's face, look at that, he hardly knows what's happened!
WOW!! What a pair! What a team! If I had not been here myself I would not have believed it! It just goes to show how far those Scrappy Scotties can go!
Is there anything you'd like to say, Team Terrier?
Dougall: Well, I'd like to thank my team-mate, Alex, he may be small, but he sure makes up for that with enthusiasm!
Alex: Gee wizzz!! That was fun, but I'm stuffed! Is it nap time yet??
OMD what a game. Scotties ROCK. Just goes to show you don't mess with us Terriers.

The outcome was never in doubt. Scotties rule! Terriers have movable jaws which help in this kind of confrontation. Kisses to the winners.

Dougall! You redesigned your blog, too!! Boy, I've missed a lot around here. So happy to see you and Alex won this round of tug. Keep up the good work! Much love, The Scottie Mom.
ReplyDeleteAn epic battle!
ReplyDeleteMy brother - a Scot - and cousin - a Boston Terrier - love to do tug of wars too.
ReplyDeleteShelby and Sophie cheat when they play tug. Sidney usually just gives up. The girls get face to face and it looks scary.
